UAE Fuel Prices for October 2026 Announced: Petrol and Diesel Rates Revealed

The UAE has announced its fuel prices for October 2026, with petrol and diesel rates increasing across all categories. The new prices will come into effect from October 1, 2026, meaning motorists across the country will pay more at fuel stations from Thursday.

The UAE Fuel Price Committee has approved the new rates under the country’s monthly fuel-pricing mechanism, which takes global energy-price movements and local market conditions into account.

New UAE Fuel Prices for October 2026

The following petrol and diesel prices will apply across the UAE from October 1:

Fuel TypeSeptember 2026October 2026Increase
Super 98AED 3.80/litreAED 4.40/litreAED 0.60
Special 95AED 3.69/litreAED 4.28/litreAED 0.59
E-Plus 91AED 3.61/litreAED 4.21/litreAED 0.60

The October rates represent increases of about 15.8% for Super 98, 16% for Special 95, 16.6% for E-Plus 91 and 11.6% for diesel compared with September prices.

Petrol Prices Rise Above AED 4 Per Litre

The latest adjustment takes all three petrol grades above AED 4 per litre.

Super 98 will rise from AED 3.80 to AED 4.40 per litre, while Special 95 will increase from AED 3.69 to AED 4.28.

E-Plus 91 will move from AED 3.61 to AED 4.21 per litre, making it the petrol grade with the largest percentage increase for October.

Diesel will also rise, moving from AED 4.30 to AED 4.80 per litre.

How Much More Will a Full Tank Cost?

The increase will affect the amount motorists spend when filling their vehicles.

For example, a 50-litre tank filled with Super 98 will cost AED 220 at the October rate, compared with AED 190 in September. This means motorists with a 50-litre tank would pay AED 30 more for a full tank.

For a 60-litre tank, Super 98 will cost AED 264 in October, compared with AED 228 in September, representing an increase of AED 36.

For Special 95, filling a 60-litre tank will cost approximately AED 256.80, compared with AED 221.40 in September.

Why Are UAE Fuel Prices Changed Every Month?

The UAE follows a monthly fuel-pricing mechanism that adjusts domestic fuel prices in response to movements in global energy markets.

The UAE Fuel Price Committee reviews fuel prices each month before announcing the rates for the following month. The September 2026 prices were AED 3.80 for Super 98, AED 3.69 for Special 95, AED 3.61 for E-Plus 91 and AED 4.30 for diesel.

Changes in international oil prices can therefore influence the rates motorists pay at UAE fuel stations.

What the New Prices Mean for UAE Motorists

The new fuel prices will apply from October 1, 2026, and motorists may need to factor the higher rates into their monthly transportation budgets.

The impact can also extend beyond private motorists. Businesses that depend on delivery vehicles, transportation and logistics may face higher fuel-related operating costs when vehicles travel long distances.

For individual drivers, the actual increase in monthly spending will depend on factors such as vehicle fuel efficiency, tank capacity, driving distance and how frequently the vehicle is refuelled.
