He Survived Death 9 Times, Now Building Tech to Help People Truly Live

Timeverse

Narenkumar Muthukumaran, widely known as NK, spent over 5+ years designing systems where his decisions carried real consequences. As a senior UI/UX designer and design consultant, he worked across 09 industries including AI, fintech, health, construction technology, sustainability, and air-quality intelligence, contributing to more than 50 complex digital and scientific-grade software systems used in live operational environments.

His work helped scale a SaaS platform from 30 to over 200 projects and supported measurable business outcomes of up to ₹6.3 crore through design alone. He has contributed to national and global platforms including Rashtrapati Bhavan’s AI Museum, the Global Partnership on AI conference, a G20 education program, and Tata Projects X Visilean.

But across every industry and every product, he kept noticing the same thing.

Technology was getting smarter. Yet people were feeling more scattered, more overwhelmed, and more disconnected from their own lives.

Everyone was busy. Nobody felt like they were actually living.

That realization became the foundation of Timeverse.

A Personal Turning Point That Changed Everything

Human brains are nothing but weird electrical galaxies. Epilepsy is literally the nervous system briefly losing its rhythm like a cosmic glitch in consciousness itself. Losing consciousness again and again, surviving death more than once, and then building a system to help people truly live is not coincidence. It is the most natural response to learning how fragile life actually is.

NK lives with sunlight-triggered photosensitive epilepsy, a neurological condition affecting roughly 0.005% of the world’s 8.2 billion people. He has survived 9 near-death episodes caused by sudden disruptions in brain activity.

Each time he lost consciousness, he experienced a deep shift in how he understood awareness, memory, and existence itself. Those moments forced him to reflect on questions most people only begin to think about when they are lying on their deathbed, when it is already too late to do anything about it.

Why do we exist?

What is the purpose of awareness?

Why do we have endless possibilities in thought but experience only one reality?

Where is human life truly heading beyond the systems created by society?

Through these experiences, one truth stood out:

Awareness is the most valuable gift human beings have, and time is simply the measure of how long we get to experience it.

And that is where he realized his life purpose was to make people live consciously each and every moment they are alive.

That is where Timeverse was born.

The Gap Modern Technology Never Solved

Technology is not the real problem.

Fragmentation is.

Long before digital tools existed, human life was already divided by biology, education, work, survival, and social structure. Much of our time is determined before we even begin to live independently.

We sleep for decades.
We prepare for life for years.
We work to sustain life through most of adulthood.
We manage responsibilities, screens, and routines every day.

And even when we are awake, our minds are often somewhere else, distracted, rushing, or simply reacting.

When viewed honestly, only a small part of life is fully experienced, consciously lived, or intentionally chosen.

This is not because people are careless.
It is because no one has shown them how their life is actually structured.

The concept of time is one of humanity’s greatest inventions. It gave us the ability to understand motion, measure change, and build science itself, from calculating atomic vibrations in quantum physics to measuring distances across space in light-years.

Yet time is rarely used to understand how human life is actually lived.

To understand this more clearly, look at the infographic below. It shows how an average human lifetime is actually distributed.

And this leads to an uncomfortable truth.

Having immortality will be a curse if you’re not experiencing life consciously.

More time does not mean more life.
Only awareness turns time into life.

This idea became NK’s core vision.

What Timebank by Timeverse Brings to the Table

TimeBank is your AI-powered personal assistant and second brain, a new kind of personal intelligence system that automatically tracks how you spend time across real and digital life, turning every moment into deep insight about your mind, emotions, behavior, and health. So you can finally understand your life, not just manage it.

Through a single AI personal assistant, people can manage everything in daily life. Events, tasks, schedules, goals, reminders, and routines can all be created, updated, and organized through simple conversation.

Instead of navigating multiple apps, one intelligent system handles it all while understanding context and continuity across time.

TimeBank does not just record activity. It learns patterns, preserves life history, and reveals how different parts of life influence each other.

Over time, it builds a structured understanding of how you live, what you value, and how your time truly flows.

It also preserves meaningful moments through time journals and time capsules, allowing people to revisit experiences as they were lived, including the time spent, the people present, and the emotions felt.

Privacy is fundamental. Your data remains fully yours, secured with end-to-end encryption.

Standing Apart in a Crowded Market

Most technology tries to understand people by looking at the past. It studies large amounts of data and then guesses what someone might need or feel.

It works, but it is slow and often disconnected from real life.

TimeBank works differently.

It understands life as it happens.

It learns from how you live each day, not from stored history. Context is seen in real time.

Everything comes from one simple source:

how your time is actually spent.

From that, patterns become clear across focus, energy, emotions, health, habits, relationships, and decisions. Life is understood as one connected whole.

Most systems try to understand a lifetime from old data.
TimeBank understands life day by day.

It does not rely on massive external data. It learns directly from your lived experience, which stays fully under your control.

The app is simple to use.

Anyone can start immediately.

You just talk to your AI assistant.

No complex tools. No learning curve.

Most technology tries to predict behavior.
TimeBank helps you understand your own awareness.

Challenges Along the Way

Building something this ambitious has not been simple.

One of the biggest hurdles has been changing how people perceive time itself. Many see time management as a productivity tactic rather than a life framework.

Convincing users and stakeholders to look beyond tasks toward intelligence, awareness, and behavior required persistence.

Another challenge has been integrating multiple life dimensions into one platform without overwhelming users.

The focus remained on simplicity, automation, and intuitive design so people could live naturally while the system quietly learns and adapts.

Privacy expectations also shaped the product’s direction.

With rising skepticism around digital platforms, designing trust-first systems became essential rather than optional.

A Vision for the Next Five Years

Looking ahead, NK envisions Timeverse growing into a connected ecosystem where individuals, businesses, and institutions operate with clarity and alignment.

The long-term direction includes:

  • Personal AI companions helping people manage daily decisions and responsibilities
  • A “second brain” for individuals to store knowledge, patterns, and insights
  • Systems that preserve meaningful life moments for reflection and learning
  • Continuous health awareness across mental, emotional, and physical dimensions
  • A future where people spend time consciously instead of reacting to routines

At its core, the vision is simple:

people living better lives by understanding how they use their time.

Words for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Consciously channel your time toward who you want to become and where you want to be.

For him, entrepreneurship is not about having all the answers. It is about staying curious, observing life closely, and building solutions that genuinely matter to people.
